Mission-Scale DFAC Operations: Holiday Meals Delivered with Precision
How our food service teams supported thousands during Thanksgiving and the winter holidays at a deployed location
When the calendar turns to Thanksgiving and the winter holidays, our DFAC teams don’t scale back. They scale up.
Across one of our supported locations, two dining facilities transformed routine meal service into something that felt like a true celebration.
For Thanksgiving, teams delivered meals at mission-scale across lunch and dinner, featuring prime rib, ham, boneless turkey, whole turkey, and top round beef. Nearly 10,000 pounds of food moved through the kitchens, powered by precision, pride, and long hours behind the line.
The décor raised the experience even further. Giant turkeys, cornucopias overflowing with fruit, and show-stopping desserts turned the DFACs into destinations.
When the winter holiday meal arrived, the teams pushed the standard higher.
Beef steamship roast. Roasted and whole turkey. Spiral-cut ham. Almost 1,200 pounds of shrimp cocktail. Add detailed fruit carving, a full dessert buffet, and giant gingerbread sculptures, and the result was a dining experience people talked about long after the trays were cleared.
The strongest measure of success came straight from those served:
